Pastor Simeon Corum

Pastor Simeon Corum is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and passionate minister with a heart for souls. Born in Washington, DC, he studied Communications and Psychology at the University of the District of Columbia and later earned an Honorary Doctorate from Breakthrough Bible College, along with a Master’s degree in Theology.

Baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit in 1982, he faithfully served under the late Apostle C. L. Long for over 30 years at Scripture Cathedral, where he grew in ministry as a deacon, minister, elder, and church administrator. His personal experiences with street violence and brokenness fueled his commitment to preaching the life-changing power of the Gospel.

In 2004, Pastor Corum by the leading of the Holy Spirit, alongside his wife Joanne, founded Goshen Worship Center Church, beginning in Alexandria, VA, before moving to Maryland. He launched “Bringing the Gospel to the Neighborhood” in 2006, drawing many to Christ, and authored The Ultimate Christian Portrayal.

Now serving as Senior Pastor of Goshen Worship Center Church in Forestville, MD, he ministers with unwavering faith, believing in God’s power to heal, deliver, and transform lives. His favorite scripture is Romans 8:35—”Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?…”

About Joanne Corum

Joanne Corum is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who has dedicated her life to ministry. Married to Pastor Simeon Corum since 1983, she serves alongside him at Goshen Worship Center Church in Forestville, Maryland. Called by God at the age of sixteen, she experienced a life-changing encounter with the Holy Spirit that ignited her passion for worship and intercession. Gifted as a psalmist, worship leader, and teacher, she embraces her divine calling to minister through music and prayer while supporting her husband in pastoral leadership.

Joanne’s commitment to Christian education has shaped her ministry. She studied under esteemed leaders such as Apostle Clarence L. Long and Bishop Alfred A. Owens and continues her biblical studies with Pastor Benny Hinn. She has completed courses in preaching, leadership, and biblical studies at Calvary Bible Institute and Scripture Cathedral Bible Institute. In addition to her theological training, she pursued education in business and administration, applying her skills in over 41 years of government service, including positions at the U.S. Congress, Democratic Headquarters, and the National Institutes of Health, where she retired in 2015.

Her heart for outreach extends beyond the church walls. She actively participates in Goshen Worship Center’s community initiatives, including “Feeding the Hungry” and “Bringing the Gospel to the Neighborhood.” She also supports international ministries such as Samaritan’s Purse, Benny Hinn Ministries, and TBN, providing aid and spreading the Gospel worldwide. Inspired by Matthew 25:35, she believes in serving others with compassion, ensuring that those in need receive both physical sustenance and spiritual nourishment.

Joanne’s vision is to establish senior citizen homes where the elderly can find care, comfort, and spiritual fulfillment. She also carries a deep burden for the wounded and broken within the body of Christ, seeking to minister healing and restoration to those who have been misunderstood or hurt in their faith journey. Rooted in Psalm 91, she encourages believers to find refuge in God’s presence, trusting in His protection and purpose. Through her ministry, she remains steadfast in her mission to unify souls and families in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
